Facts:
From his headquarters in a Bronson Canyon cave, he communicates with “The Great One” via World War II surplus radio gear and a Lawrence Welk-style bubble machine. Though its cosmic death ray Ro-Man caused untold destruction and has destroyed all of humanity with the exception of a small band of survivors.

In 1984, MTV showed the film in its original 3-D format. MTV offered 3-D viewing glasses by mail order ahead of the broadcast date.

Initial reviews were so bad that the director Phil Tucker attempted suicide.
