Cannibal Apocalypse (1980)

Relentless Action… Brutal Terror… Savage Hunger!

The horrors of war take on a whole new meaning for Vietnam vet Norman Hopper, whose quiet domestic life in Atlanta is shattered by the return of Charlie Bukowski, a combat buddy who brings back the terrifying flashbacks of flesh eating and bloodshed in the war-torn jungles.

After escaping from the institution and now on the run from the law. Charlie begs Norman to help him get out of town with another fellow veteran, Tom. Soon the ragtag team of cannibals along with a newly infected nurse are fighting for their lives, spreading a deadly contagion through the streets of downtown Atlanta before heading into the sewers for a gut-wrenching ending. If you can get past the 70’s music you’re in for a good movie.

One of the most infamous Italian horror films, Cannibal Apocalypse came to America under such titles as Savage Slaughterers, Hunter of the Apocalypse, Cannibal Massacre, Invasion of the Flesh Hunters and many more, before it was labeled a ‘Video Nasty’ and was heavily censored or banned all together in its video release in many countries.

Invasion of the Flesh Hunters, Cannibals in the Street, Cannibal Massacre, and many, many more.
